And since we were kids, we have seen how industrial development has ruined so much of the natural environment that surrounded our home.
When we met the group of women in the story, we were immediately inspired by them and felt a sense of responsibility to elevate their journey and to share it with a wider audience.
We felt like this was a really urgent story that needed to be told now.
It's a frightening tale of what could happen when your community gets ignored for a basic right, like clean water.
And there's a lot of water crises happening because of climate change, but the rights of Americans, the rights of Mexican people to clean water, have never been more in peril.
If we continue to ignore climate crises, we're going to end up with a decimated water table.
We're going to end up with no aquifers and we're going to end up fighting for the last of the clean water that we're all going to be able to use.
We hope that the film can serve as an inspiration for other communities who are also fighting for the health of their kids and for their natural resources.
