Hochul concerned about the new toll’s adverse impact on business
New York Gov. Kathy Hochul announced Wednesday that the congestion pricing plan for New York City that was set to start June 30 is being paused “indefinitely.” In a video statement, Hochul said her administration was concerned the new $15 toll to enter Manhattan’s central business district would deter people from coming to the area, which hasn’t fully recovered from the pandemic.
